Third Wheel

Project 365 - Day 40

I had fun chasing dragonflies around the pond while we visited my husband's parents this past weekend.

Project 365 - Day 39

The one above will be my "picture of the day," but I also wanted to post the one below. After I got a shot of this busy bee on the flower, I just happened to get one as he was flying away. I thought it turned out pretty cool! Oh, and I didn't even notice the grasshopper on the one above when I was taking the photo. See it?

Is Anybody There?!

I'm here! So I had a back injury and actually left my camera in the bag for DAYS. This is highly unusual for me, obviously, so I am thankful to be back to normal... or at least close. I also just completed editing hundreds of pictures from a wedding back in July. I took [unprofessional] pictures for a friend of mine. It was a big challenge and a lot of fun at the same time. I'll post a few of my favorites here, and then I'll hopefully get some new pictures up over the next few days. Congrats to Jason and Kristen!

Project 365 - Day 34

These horses live around the corner from us, and I was so excited to see the baby by the fence! I had put I was excited to see the "colt" but then had to look that up. So here's a baby horse lesson for you: A foal is a baby horse that is 5 years old or younger. A male baby horse is called a colt, and a female baby horse is a filly. Didn't look too closely, so I'm not sure which this was!

Project 365 - Day 33

I love trying to shoot water in motion. My niece and nephew were more than willing to spit lots of water at one another so that I could practice. :)

Meet Tex. He's really, really cute and is such a happy baby!

Project 365 - Day 31

Here's one more photo from the Texas State Aquarium. We went the other day, but I didn't take any pictures at all on day 31 - we were traveling all day. We are so glad to be home!

Project 365 - Day 30

Project 365 - Day 29

We just got back from a trip to Port Aransas for a few days, so I am catching up on photos. I loved the reflections on the beach.

Project 365 - Day 19

This is what we saw in our yard the other night! It's hard to take a good picture of a bunny in the dark, but this turned out okay.

Project 365 - Day 14

Our tree will be covered in these crusty little creatures soon, but I was surprised to see one in the molting stage today. According to what I just read on wikipedia, "Many people around the world regularly eat cicadas; the female is prized, as it is meatier." Well, I won't be serving them for dinner, but it was interesting to photograph.
