Project 365 - Day 14
Our tree will be covered in these crusty little creatures soon, but I was surprised to see one in the molting stage today. According to what I just read on wikipedia, "Many people around the world regularly eat cicadas; the female is prized, as it is meatier." Well, I won't be serving them for dinner, but it was interesting to photograph.

Project 365 - Day 4
I think the name of this trailer being "Flair" says it all. My friend Mary, my children, and I are in Austin visiting our friend Erica and her family. We're doing our part to "Keep Austin Weird," but I don't think we can compete with this. And this was one of those pull over and take a quick picture out of the car window sort of thing, but it was definitely the most interesting thing I took a picture of today. As we were pulling away, I think Ivy's (2) comment was, "She's not coming down." I think she's right.

Project 365 - Day 2
Since Emily and I met today to do our Revelation study, I wanted a picture having to do with that. It was actually harder than I thought to take a picture of a page in a book. Maybe I'm just slow! I love that I'm making myself think about different things with this project, such as which angle you should take a picture of a book from to make the majority out of focus. I wanted it that way, because the bulk of Revelation is still such a mystery to me at this point.

Project 365 - Day 1
I know a few people who have done this, and I'm taking the plunge. One picture a day for an entire year. I'm sure there will be plenty with my children as subjects, but my goal is to use subjects that I would not normally photograph. People, things... whatever! I got my hair cut and highlighted today. I took my camera with me, because I had decided that today was the day I was going to start this project. I asked my hair stylist if I could take a picture of her tattoo, and she did not hesitate. I asked her if I was her first client to ask that, and she said yes to that, too! Here's my photo for Day 1. Anyone want to join me in doing this?

Miracle Baby
Here are a few of my favorites from Cooper's photo shoot. A little bit about him is in the post below. Such a cutie!!
Carlegis Family
This weekend I had the honor of photographing a little miracle named Cooper and his photogenic parents. Cooper was born 15 weeks early and is 8 months old now! He is still on his oxygen but just got the okay to come off of it a little bit each day. So he got to have his first photo shoot without tubes! Here's a quick slideshow of some of the pictures. On a side note, are there any blogger experts out there? Why can I not just add a slideshow or video into my post? Am I missing something? I really thought I used to be able to do that.
